Two sisters, each having faced the challenges of domestic violence, recently began a new chapter together in a shared two-bedroom apartment. After participating in separate women’s support programs, they chose to live together to continue encouraging and strengthening one another as they rebuild their lives. With the assistance of a homemakers charity, generous volunteers, and donors, they furnished and prepared their new home, creating a welcoming space that reflects both of their personalities, from soft pastels to rich wood tones. The sisters also adopted two emotional support cats, Bobby and Clyde, bringing comfort and companionship into their new home. Thanks to the support of a caring community, their apartment is now filled with warmth, plants, and the essentials needed to start over with stability and hope.
