2026 brought its share of challenges. Health issues sometimes slowed the work and changed what was possible—but they did not change why the work matters. Even in a difficult year, Homemakers was able to walk alongside 12 people from five families as they took one of the most important steps toward rebuilding their lives: finding a new home. For each of them, it was more than a change of address. It was a door that could close behind them, a place where children could begin to feel safe, and a chance to start imagining a life shaped less by what they had survived and more by what might come next.
2025 brought challenges and rewards. This year taught us that resilience is not measured by speed, but by our faithfulness to our impact initiatives—even when circumstances require us to proceed more cautiously.
