Two sisters who had each been impacted by domestic violence recently began a new chapter together in a shared two bedroom apartment. After completing time in separate women’s support programs, they chose to live together so they could continue encouraging and strengthening one another as they rebuild their lives. Homemakers worked with generous volunteers and donors to furnish and prepare their new home, creating a welcoming space that reflects both of their personalities, from soft pastels to rich wood tones. The sisters also adopted two emotional support cats, Bobby and Clyde, bringing comfort and companionship into their new home. With the help of a caring community, their apartment is now filled with warmth, plants, and the essentials needed to begin again with stability and hope.
